Still life & food photography.
Each photograph is a canvas that portrays the colors, textures, and presentation of contemporary culinary creations.
Food photography is an art that goes beyond capturing mere dishes; it’s about unveiling the culinary artistry that unfolds in your kitchen.
My predilection for inanimate subjects has led me to consider interiors and still life photography as my favourite areas in photography. Producing still life images is a slow work, it is a bit like sculpting through light, creating geometry, volumes and textures, through of the conscious use of lighting, whether working in studio or outdoors. The still life photographer will work in depth on staging, composition and lighting, because the final image is built step by step, layer after layer. Over the past few years, I have worked as a still life photographer in Barcelona, Milan or Florence with painters, sculptors, designers, brands and agencies looking for suggestive images and personal style. Here you can see my portfolio of commercial project and still life.
Lorenzo Vecchia is an architecture and interior photographer originally from Florence and based in Barcelona since the year 2000. Throughout his career, he has stood out as a photographer specialized in capturing the essence and beauty of architecture and interior design in a wide variety of contexts, with a particular focus on residential and commercial spaces.
Among the numerous projects he has undertaken in his career, highlights include photo shoots of private homes, luxury hotels, restaurants, yachts, elegant stores, boutiques, and a wide range of commercial spaces. His ability to capture the essence of these places has led to architecture and interior design studios, brands and advertising agencies trusting him to breathe life into their visual projects. He has also made contributions to the editorial world and his images have graced the pages of design and architecture magazines, including prominent publications such as Casaviva, Dentro Casa and AD. However, the heart of his work lies in his personal projects, where Lorenzo delves into an intimate exploration of urban life and the hidden mysteries within the interiors of homes. Through his lens, he invites us to contemplate the beauty that often goes unnoticed in our everyday surroundings, highlighting the interaction between humans and the spaces they inhabit. Architect’s work lives, today more than ever, through architectural photography, since these images are what most people see and remember: for every person who visits a house or a building, there are thousands that only know them as images on magazines, websites or social networks. Our modern culture leads us to consume a great amount of architecture through photographs we see in books, magazines, or more and more frequently, on the web or social networks like Instagram. Architect’s work lives, today more than ever, through architectural photography, since these images are what most people see and remember: for every person who visits a house or a building, there are thousands that only know them as images on magazines or websites. The work of an architectural photographer is essentially to freeze time, creating images that communicate the relationship of buildings within their contexts, beyond time and space, so that photography becomes the primary reference point for the architecture.
