ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY | Our modern culture leads us to consume a great amount of architecture through photographs we see in books, magazines, or more and more frequently, on the web or social networks like Instagram. Architect's work lives, today more than ever, through architectural photography, since these images are what most people see and remember: for every person who visits a house or a building, there are thousands that only know them as images on magazines or websites. The work of an architectural photographer is essentially to freeze time, creating images that communicate the relationship of buildings within their contexts, beyond time and space, so that photography becomes the primary reference point for the architecture. I have been working as architecture and interior photographer in Barcelona, Florence, London and other cities around Europe for 15 years, creating architectural images for architects, interior designer, magazines and advertising agencies. Here you can check out my portfolios for architecture and interiors, and here you can see some publications.
INTERIORS PHOTOGRAPHY | The challenge of photographing commercial interiors is distilling elements of a design within a commercial space into a set of images telling the story of the space and working with the light to give the final photo a natural feel. This is especially important when you want to promote an exclusive space like a luxury hotel, or a new concept restaurant, or a flagship store of a fashion brand. I have been working for interior architecture firms and design studios in Barcelona and other cities for years, shooting commercial spaces photography such as hotels, resorts, restaurants, spas, shops, flagships stores. These photos are used for competition entries, social media marketing, advertisements and website portfolios. Here you can find some of my portfolio for hotels, restaurants and shops and commercial spaces.
STILL LIFE | My predilection for inanimate subjects has led me to consider interiors and still life photography as my favourite areas in photography. Producing still life images is a slow work, it is a bit like sculpting through light, creating geometry, volumes and textures, through of the conscious use of lighting, whether working in studio or outdoors. The still life photographer will work in depth on staging, composition and lighting, because the final image is built step by step, layer after layer. Over the past few years, I have worked as a still life photographer in Barcelona, Milan or Florence with painters, sculptors, designers, brands and agencies looking for suggestive images and personal style. Here you can see my portfolio of commercial project and still life.
